Discounting 2017

I notice LaMesa RV is discounting the 2017 model 24.1 pretty good at $73,500. Is there a big upgrade from the 2017 to the 2018 that anyone knows of? I think the 2018 has that new European cabinets which are sort of cool, but what else is so cool. The price is pretty good. Thanks.

The 2018 would have a bigger kitchen window because the Microwave was moved to below the counter (from the cabinets above).

2 burner stove (2018) vs 3-burner stove with optional oven (2017).

Awning is different also, and it has gas connection for outdoor use. A few other minor details too.

On 24.1 floorplan there "may" be a difference of chassis used -- one could be E-350 and other E-450. That may be worth checking out on specific unit if it makes a difference to your needs.

We just bought a 2017 Axis 25.2 from La Mesa this past Saturday for 70,050.

UHOH! Lovely wife will be crazy about the larger kitchen window and the microwave location. Everything is compromise. We love the 24.1 but wanted a larger couch. The 25.2 has the larger couch and works out great for us. On the other hand, we don't have a ladder because of the bedroom slide but I tell myself I don't want to get up there anyway. Bought a telescoping ladder to take with us and limit roof climbs. The 25.2 has a larger closet but the 24.1 has more overhead cabinets in the bedroom. The shower in the 25.2 is larger and that's a good thing even though it's only used to keep gallon jugs of water from home for coffee and a great storage area for broom, vacuum stick and assorted odds and ends. Wish there was an option for storage in the cab area as opposed to the useless to us overhead bed. Outside storage? A couple of outsiide compartments are still empty. We tend to travel light even on longer trips.
I see the Axis/Vegas has a new longer unit in 2018. It will probably be at the 30 foot mark in a couple of years.

Price range hasn't really changed all that much. They're worth whatever the best deal is that you can get. Lots of spending opportunities ahead.
We traded in a 12 yr old 25' class c that needed a lot of attention and ended up paying 61k for ours. We probably spent about 80 million on junk and repairs to the class c. It was our first real rv. They saw us coming. We did enjoy our time with it though.

In August, we bought a new 2017 Axis 25.5 from America Choice RV in Ocala for $72k. The 25.5 was new for 2017 and is slightly longer at 27' and offers a king bed that can be converted to 2 twin beds with an isle down the middle, which is an ideal floor plan for us. Other than the differences between 17's and 18's already mentioned, I don't know of any others. IMO, the Ford E450 chassis is preferable to the lighter duty E350, so I'd be sure you're getting the E450.

Combine the two (24.1+25.2) and you'd have something.

Would only be about a foot longer than 25.2 at around 27'6"; which is shorter than newest floorplan.

Check out the new 27.7 Vegas/Axis with two slides coming in at 28'6"...with a broom closet! Downside: much less out side storage (36 cubic feet vs the 65+ in our 24.1). Thread is available elsewhere this forum.
