doing the preps for our trip next week

as most know we have been HOME since dec, going crazy and have a trip planned for next week

today i was doing some of the pre trip stuff like tires, oil etc

in dec i had all 6 tires at 105 psi
today every single one was at 102psi, yup all 6 read the same psi

pretty darn good for sitting on concrete in the rv garage.

3 psi was outstanding

going to dust her tomorrow and clean all the glass.

i am sooooooo ready to get out of dodge

I have been prepping for the past couple of weeks for our trip on June 14. We plan on being gone 4-6 weeks towing our car with the motor home. We changed out our winter clothes/items and have been putting in the summer items since everywhere we plan on staying will be hot(Arizona/Texas/New Mexico/Kentucky) just to name a few.

Be sure and check the black tank valve has fully seated .
If it didn't seat you're in for a nasty surpise at your first cap removal.

Earlier this year we has a poster blame a tech for the posters poo-bath because the tech didn't shut the black tank valve all the way
Reality places blame on the poster who did a very poor preflight.
Blame is easy after a poo-bath. Responsibility is not.

And
One of the seals in my gray tank has dried up causing a pinhole leak in a pipe junction.
Fill and empty your tanks. You'll find the leak and keep from poo-spew on the road.

Rvchecklist is an app with a very very extensive customizable pre-flight checklist.
It also has pdi, set-up and storage lists.

oh you know a valve double is called for
we once drove from San Antonio to la feria tx and gray valve was open.
but cap was one, i must have left it open that morning
so when we arrived at my sisters place and parked in her new concrete rv pad, i went to remove the cap to hook up the sewer and bammmm we got nasty looking water all over the place . thankfully it was only a days worth of driving water, (hand washing mostly). she was not happy, because laughed the little brother laugh at her

While I was still going through everything, I discovered that my bathroom faucet started leaking onto the counter around the single operating valve. I went down to Home Depot and picked up a replacement. They used pex and boy it wasn't fun reconnecting it to the new faucet. Not much room under that sink and had to do everything by touch only. They didn't leave much extra pex to reach the hot/cold water connections. Got it done. On to the next one!!!
