Draw The Curtain

The time has come to put our RV to bed for the Winter.
Overall: we used it more this year than ever before! It was a VERY good year for camping.
We're taking it to our Dealer on October 17th. They will Winterize it, perform the roof inspection and the MB "A" servicing. We had some trouble getting the 'Fridge to run on propane, and the tank sensors are acting a bit wonky; so they will address these issues...
We also are having them replace the couch with some recliners. They were offered by Tiifin as an option in 2020; but ours is a 2019.
It should pose no problem as they''ll drop right in.
I'll pull the coach batteries before it goes to them, and make sure that all is hunky-dory inside their cases.
And we might even do some shopping while we're there...

Take many pictures of the battery connections before pulling those batteries.

Bob- not just pictures but labeling the cables makes it even easier. Before I swapped out our coach batteries, I labeled each cable as Positive (+) or Negative (-) for Front or Rear Battery (or your case may be Left or Right battery, depending on how they're installed).

I even went as far as labeling whether it was the 1st, 2nd or 3rd connection on each terminal. (A little over the top I know), but some of my pictures left a little to be desired among the rats nest of battery cables as they twisted among each other.

Glad you had a great camping season.

We're out this week & still have one more week in October before we put our baby away for the winter.

Best of luck.

I do have a plan to label the cables, and take a bunch of pictures.
(I've done this before... )
I number the cables and their corresponding terminals, and photograph the entire tangle of snakes.
My batteries are side by side. There are 4 terminals and connections; so it's not too tough of a deal...

I use a plastic bag taped or zip tied to cover terminals that I don't want making contact while connecting

Never tripped a breaker as many do

That's a good idea: I normally just zip-tie things as far apart as possible.
I may just steal your process!

We're already making plans... and getting ready to make reservations!
We missed going to the Lake George (NY) RV Park this year: they didn't open until the week after Memorial Day. We definitely plan on going there again.
We also really enjoyed the Cooperstown KOA. They certainly warrant a second look...

I save old cloth yard gloves with holes in the fingers. Slide them on when needed. I store them in a baggy.
