Battery quick fill systems

I am considering installing a water fill system and would like to know anyone experience with them in the freezing winter months. Thinking I will just remove and reinstall when I need to add water. Also would like any input on which one works best. I am running 4 six volts and just replaced them and would like to keep them in good shape.

I installed the Flow-Rite Quick fill system on my two house batteries over a year ago. They make systems for every battery set up. Mine is the dual 12 volt batteries. You need to make sure you get the correct one for your battery set up. You also need to buy the hand pump bulb to fill the batteries with distilled water. I have not have any issue with it freezing up since I am based in California out of the snow. I have taken it to Utah in the winter where temps at night dipped to 16 degrees for a week. Daytime hit 32 for the week we were there visiting. I bought the Flow-Rite Quick Fill battery system through Amazon. It is easy to use and now I don't have to remove the caps to check/fill each cell.

I’ve used the Flow-rite system for years and like it a lot. I don’t disconnect it in the winter and have not had a problem. We were camping in south Texas last February and had a stretch of temps in the teens.

Purchased on for my fifth wheel. It worked well, but it went with the fifth wheel. I could not get one for my class A. Out of stock everywhere. I finally got the level floats and a battery filler bottle.

In California you don't worry about freezing unless you are up in the mountains or in the high desert.

I was using the float type battery system with a water bottle on my flooded batteries. I recently had to change them after 6 years. I went with Interstate RV/Marine deep cycle maintenance free batteries. Hopefully they will need less attention.

I went a different route and bought AGMs. No water to add and no off gassing to clean up.

I'm not a fan.
The system to keep two wet cell batteries alive cost as much as one good agm.
I think its an odd bandaid to keep an outdated technology from being an ENTIRE pain in the ass.
