I think this is blastolene or a competitor.
If I ever find a Chevy v12 in the wild (I can buy one but I want to find one)
I'll build a monster like those.

I posted this pic so people could see the size of a blastolene.

This one was on the way to bigboy toys show in Havasu.

Your a time favorite is surprisingly inexpensive. They're in the high 20k range for driver, as low as 8k for turd that needs put back together.
I'm too tall to enjoy one.

That's what happened to me (too tall). Went to see one. Half my head stuck above the windshield. Got in easy enough. Needed help getting out. I couldn't pull my legs back far enough.

Slid into the Pantera like a velvet glove. It was love at first grip of the wheel. On the down side, I went through 3 ignition switches before I learned to start the car when I actually intended to leave. It was mounted in the weirdest place under the steering column. A guy in Houston bought it from me and supposedly still has it. I traced its lineage from Amerisport in Ohio (Kirk Evans) to Wisconsin, then to Georgia where I bought it. I was the third owner at 14k mi. It had 15 on it when I sold it.

I have two tractor builds going right now(they don't count in the one project rule.)
A 1970's John deere patio 140h3 being kept a stock and one being fitted with an Opposing Drone or a BMW opposing engine. The vw 2cylinders are too expensive to build.

I'll never compete with the pro modifiers on these little tractors or the collectors who are completely nuts but they are calming and fun and take up little room.

I also.have a dead stock and complete Gilson for zomeone who wants a subcompact tractor project. Gilson made the Montgomery Wards and the Ford tractors. This is a wards branded but It's Ford blue and white. I have a box, somewhere, with first Gen mustang gt.grill lights and guagepak and emblems for it. I thought it would be cute as a mustang gt tractor with a pony interior seat.
I'll trade for a steak dinner. You bring the chow and cook and I'll supply the BBQ spot a night at a full hook up spot and load the Gilson for you.

Not this one: it was Carroll Shelby's personal supercharged "Super Snake".

LMAO. Maybe I'll stop by on my way to Utah. We can throw the Gilson in the bed of my towed.

I'm kidding, though I may stop by...

You forget the The Ford Torino Talladega with the 427 SOHC engine was also outlawed. Bill France did allow Ford to race the Talladega with the Boss 429 but the Boss had about 150 less hp than the 427 SOHC.

Have to admit. Completely forgot about it though Ford never actually got to use it. The Daytona saw some track time and the first to reach over 200. It's a shame Chrysler whined about it. Would have made for some heads up racing.

Speaking of Daytona...
Has anyone ever tried to wring out an unrestricted car on that track in recent years. I'd be curious to know how fast they could REALLY go...

The last time I heard it was done: Rusty Wallace turned over 231 mph.

Are you strictly addressing speed? Not that I've heard in NASCAR but you have the salt flats and GT racing has a Sports Prototype class that is supposedly no bars held. It runs with the GT class at 24 Hours of Le Mans. I think the thing stopping them from 'wringing it out' is to keep from grenading the motor or putting her into the fence. You have to have a car at the end to have a shot at winning.

NASCAR only...
I've always wondered how much faster an unrestricted car is; than than one that can't breathe properly.
