Electric brake plug location 2016 ACE Motorhome

Wanting to install electric brake controller on my 2016 ACE 29.9 motor home. Was told plug for controller should be located somewhere under dash near steering column, but I can't find it anywhere..? Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thx, Ron

It is usually bundled up in the wiring loom to the left of the steering wheel. It is tucked up high.

Thanks Jim....I found it today tucked between lower part of steering column & the black plastic cover screwed into floor.Thought I was gonna have to call for help , needed someone to grab my ankles to help pull me out from under the dash...all's well that ends well...lol

Did it look like this? (Yes, I had hard time untangling myself out of the floor - it's cramped in there)

Yes sir....should also have a blue wire goin in it.

Awesome, it does have blue wire behind the green wire (just can't see in the pics). So I'm assuming I can just use the plug adapter that came in the Thor manual and connect it directly to a brake controller. (See pic).

We have Primus IQ 90160 that we were using in our truck (with travel trailer) that I think I can just move it over without having to buy a new brake controller. Although, I haven't researched if there's better ones for using with dingy towing behind motorhome.

Brake system on my dingy came with its own controller. My experience is limited as this is the only toad i've ever towed.

I bought a used Tekonsha (spelling ?) P3 brake controller & Really like it.. it had great reviews & agree. I pull a tow dolly with electric brakes to haul our Ford Escape.

Good to know, yes that's the right spelling and that's the same brand we have but it's Tekonsha 90160 Primus controller. We're now thinking we should leave the one in the truck if we need in future and get new one for motorhome. I'll check out the P3 model. Funny, we're looking at Ford Escape Hybrid for dingy towing on all flat fours. I'm assuming yours is automatic and can't be dingy towed?

yep...automatic (my wifes daily driver)
