Staying connected on the road

Thought the members here would like this podcast:
RT70: Everything you need to know about staying connected to the Internet in your RVRoadtreking : The RV Lifestyle Blog

Been following Mike's blog since it was mentioned earlier on here. Quite a few interesting entries on there (even if we don't have a Roadtrek! LOL).

Note I haven't listened to it yet as its 1hr and I'm at work...

For those that might not be aware, TMobile now has unlimited music and video streaming, (for select services listed on their website).

What that means is that if you like Pandora or Netflix you can stream them all you can stand, without affecting your data cap. You can use your smartphone as a hotspot and use it to watch Netflix on your television, and listen to streaming music on all of your devices.

So. For now at least TMobile is my RVing internet access goto.

We found that we could rent an 4G Verizon hotspot with an unlimited database for $150 per month. Both of my teens have online classes and I'm a computer nerd that needs to be connect at all times for work. We typically you somewhere between 150 - 200 gig each month. No way we could afford that without an unlimited plan. Found that there were several people on EBay offering that same time of plan.
