End of the Saga - drive shift hum

At 64 mph a hum/vibration would come from the floor and I could feel it in the steering wheel. During the 5k servicing I had Ford Dealer look at it and and test drove it with lead techn. He thought it was the drive shift. Ford screwed around with it for a month and a half. And finally said they could not fix it. I called Thor Customer Service and they referred me to Mor Ryde. Long Story short - Mor Ryde was great and I used my trusted local RV repair guy to work with them and they shipped out a complete new drive shift from transmission to rear end. Mor Ryde paid for his time (no expense to me) Feels and sounds great now. I also had a "kill switch" put on my chassis battery for storage. It was installed on a frame just under the battery location and I just reach thru the grill to turn it on and off.

Forgot one other problem

My entire 30 amp power system died. I have a six year Good Sam / Camping world warranty. My local rv repair guy worked with them and he replaced the entire system - the lighted plug in up to the battery. Cost was $100 deductible.

I had the same vibration in the steering after having a running over half of a truck tire. Tire flew off a passing truck right into my lane. The tire took out the entire exhaust system and bent the drive shaft. AAA paid for everything.

MorRyde must do a good job stretching these chassis or we'd be seeing more reports like this one. Having said that, I would prefer all-Ford OEM mass-produced components when possible.
