External Cable Hookup Point?

Howdy All...hope you're having a great RVing day!

We are about to head out on our first real trip in our 2020 Palazzo 33.2, meeting friends (RV full timers) in Kentucky and caravanning for a week or two. Woo Hoo!!!

Quick question since our feeble old minds simply do not remember!

Where is the external connection to hook up camp ground cable service? I found a cable tv-like jack in the water hookup/drain bay, but not sure if that is it. Strange place, if it is. Also, do we need to provide the cable to go from our motorhome to their connection?

Many thanks!

That is the cable connection, and yes, you need to provide your own cable.

If it's for a coaxial cable: that's the one!
That's also where they hid it in our rig. I suppose they figure it's a good place to put it, since you've got a place right alongside your city water hoses to run the cable.
And yes: you do get to buy your own co-ax...

Have a GREAT trip!

Bob Denman and bandorr2000...

Thank you. The coax cable is not an issue since I just happen to have a few lying around--I'm a bit of a pack rat regarding cables and such.

yes, that's your COAX connection for cable tv from a campground, and yes, most RVs have it in the 'wet bay' since you will be accessing the wet bay when you are parked anyway, for water and sewer hoses... it's also the area where water lines and such already run up into the coach.

You'll have to provide your own coax extension cable, since it depends on how far from the campground's connection you are, but is generally located on the power pedestal where you will be plugging in for electricity. A 20' to 50' cable, or several shorter ones, will work just fine, as long as you have the male-to-male connectors.

Now, getting your TVs to 'see' the cable channels is a whole different topic.... just search 'cable tv' on this forum to find out more.

You probably have a 'bomb' box of many buttons, like we do, above the living room sofa, in the cabinet. This tells each TV what you want it to 'watch'... but, you must also switch each TV's 'input' to Cable, and then 'Scan' each TV for the channels.
The BOMB box only has to be turned 'on', though, if you are wanting to watch the 'antenna' signal, otherwise you just press the 'CABLE' button for each tv, etc.
