factory black tank flush devices

I am trying to find out what the factory is installing for black tank flushing . I have a four winds sierra without a built in flusher .I have been looking at after market devices.

My Outlaw had a San-T-Flush system installed in the black tank. I imagine that's the one that you would probably expect to see in Thor products.

By the way: Welcome to our virtual RV Park!

If you're gonna drill a hole in your tank install the Tornado:

https://www.amazon.com/Camco-40126-T.../dp/B000BUU5TU

Half the price and works twice as well.

The water valve needs to be in the correct position, the black tank valve open. You should be able to hear the water spraying inside the tank and it coming out the drain.

I do not use mine that way. I use it to fill the tank to almost full after the initial dump. Then I open the valve and let it dump again. I usually do this once or twice and the water coming out is clear with little or no debris after the rinse.

I have a clear elbow I connect to my drain so I can see when the blank tank is truly clean.

We also add Calgon Water Softener to the black tank after flushing as well as a tablet. The Calgon keeps the water very “slippery” to help keep anything from sticking to the tank walls.

Thanks Judge, just got our new SV34 and when I dumped for the 1st time I didn't notice anything coming out of the black tank once it had emptied and the hose was connected and running-maybe it just needed to run longer? Not sure what type of rinse fitting Thor uses on the Magnitudes. On another note, did you find an easier way to drain & fill/replace filter etc. without taking the bed apart each time?

There have been instances where the flush was connected to the grey tank instead of the black tank. Might want to open the grey valve and run the flush to check.

That is a good plan-am making a list of "fixes & questions" for when we take it back to the dealer to have couch swapped out for theatre seats. I will crawl under if it ever quits snowing here!

Wondered that myself. My MH has one and I hardly ever use it. Don’t really see the point!
