Fall 2021 Sunshine UnRally
 North Beach Camp Resort - Oct 6-10, 2021
Time for another Sunshine Thor Rally! Only a little different this time. Please read entire post:
We're going back to St Augustine, FL at a different RV park this time. Please do not call the park and ask about a rally, we are just a bunch of friends picking the same weekend to camp there. We were told before that they don't do rallies, so the office should be kept unaware. Best is to make your reservation online, then send an email or PM to me with your site#.
Our site is #89. It is spacious and will likely be our central gathering area. It is near the center of the park, about 5 city blocks or 10 minutes walk to either restaurant. Sites bigger than 30 feet are limited, so if you have a shorter rig please leave those sites for the bigger ones.
It's a unique park, spanning about a mile between a beach on the Atlantic and the saltwater North River. There is a popular restaurant overlooking the river and another overlooking the ocean. There are plenty of trees and scrub palms, and a nice heated pool. There is no rally rate, but their website says they will give you a 10% discount on arrival with Good Sam or AAA. The rate before discount is $90/night for most sites. Reserve at www.northbeachcamp.com
October is still hurricane season in Florida, and there is always a chance that our plans could be blown out. Our very first rally had to be postponed. Hurricanes develop far out in the ocean and take days to arrive. The park has a 48 hour cancellation policy to avoid being charged one night. Any changes will be posted to this thread.
On May 1st, there are plenty of sites available for our dates. As the days and weeks slip away, sites will fill and you may be left out.

Dang, Mr Sunshine!
We were one of the lucky early registrants that landed a spot at North Beach, site 119. Right now, we probably won’t be able to do the September dates because of tentative family obligations. However, if those obligations change, we’ll see you all in September. We do plan to keep the North Beach reservation, though, so if any of you other early bird reservation folks show up, we’ll see you there!

Ok, by popular demand, the N Beach un-rally will continue. Remember, that campground doesn't do rallies, we're just random bunch of friends picking the same weekend and location.

 The September rally will happen. Rather than cancel the original October plans. we decided to keep our reservation at North Beach for those who are unable to come in September. So come to either, or both!
Dates for the "official" rally in St Augustine are Sept 22-26, watch for a new thread announcing the details soon!
