Fire Fly

I use my Mira app on my android phone to operate my slide outs and about 3 weeks ago when I opened it all of the slides showed a locked symbol I saw it said update available I tapped it and they unlocked but ever since every time I open it the slides show locked symbol and I have to update to unlock them. Everything else works as usual, awnings, lights, home . I've called and emailed firefly Integrations no response.

Firefly customer service is the worse of any rv supplier out there. We had had major issue on the road with the system. Wonderful dealer took us in immediately and tried all day to get them on the phone...and this is an RV dealer...to no avail. They bypassed the system for the three thing that were not working. They never got a call back. Jayco ordered a new control board under warranty and mailed it to my home.

If I understand correctly, you are saying it is working normally with the exception of you having to clear the "update available" message? If that is the case I would tend to believe it has needed an update for some time perhaps. The Vega Touch Mira wireless module only has bluetooth connectivity. No update has been done, you are just clearing the message. Only the Firefly systems with the Vega Touch Eclipse module have the capability to connect to the internet provided that you have a wifi signal available in or near your coach. Even then, unless its some newer system I am not familiar with, it will not auto update. Updating the firmware usually requires a flash drive or tablet plugged into the update USB port on the main Firefly screen.

The app doesn't work well on Android.

In my case was the same:
After an update, in order for some functions to work properly, I have to update every time I use the app.

In my case, If I don't update before each use:
1 - On the main screen:
a - the heater propane option will not show up
b - the generator controls will not show up
2 - If I turn on any light through the app, it will turn off after some time by itself.

I tried to contact Fire Fly with no results so I gave up using the app.

What is the process you are using for updating the Firefly system and where exactly are you getting the update "firmware" for it?

At the app, if you go to settings, it has an "update" option.

I hear you but I really think it needs the firmware updated on the Firefly system on the coach which is why your phone app keeps reverting to the old version. Get your firmware version from your Firefly settings page and maybe you'll have better luck trying to email Firefly at support@fireflyint.com. I agree their support is terrible. I am still waiting for support calls to be returned from last year which I am starting to think are maybe not going to happen. I will say however as far as multiplex systems are concerned, Firefly does have, by far the best system out there.
