Flip up queen bed Compass 23TB

Can anyone share their knowledge on the Thor Compass 23TB flip up queen bed? What is supposed to hold it when slide in and mattress folded up? It tends to lean to the outside when your sitting on the bench and camping but when driving down the road it doesn't lock into a "stow" position. When I go around a corner or make a left turn, it falls and hits the wall! We bought it a few days ago and wonder if it's missing a latch or lock? TIA Sheri

Hi sebic01, the fix (that I believe MountainSam came up with) is a spring-loaded shower rod (which I'm also using) placed crosswise holds the bed in the upright position. I've recently replaced the gas strut on one side and I plan to replace the other so I may not need the shower rod in the future;-) Nancy

Our rig has a catch rod and latch... (Tiffin...)
I'm sure that The Thor rigs will be similar... If you add a thick mattress pad, or especially a different mattress: you will upset the apple-cart!

I appreciate the feedback and glad to know I am not missing a part. Shower rod would work
