So goes averages as a LAW.
You can't make electric car owners the very bastion of planning any more than you can convince me less than 10% of people can't know beef is cow.
Few, damn few, milliparts of 100, take their electric toy cross country.
Few will know of the time to fill it to 100% at a less than stellar station because of the 80% fill time propaganda.
Do not evade in your answer.
Directly, succinctly,
100% charge on a nonpremium low line charger using an adapter is how long if you turn off the vehicle and walk away.
100% charge is how long if you sit in it while charging and using the ac in our current 100+ heat?

Woe thx we own subaru
Subaru also said Thursday it was globally recalling about 2,600 units of the Solterra, its first all-electric vehicle jointly developed with Toyota, for the same reason.

Have read lately that different areas are asking folks to raise their thermostat temps between the hours of Xpm & XXpm to keep from overtaxing the electric grid, yet they also want us to dump our ICE vehicles for EVs. Oh the hypocrisy!

A few spots may be going to limit electric vehicle charging to off peak hours.
Kind of like the old odd/even gas plan, but with standing in a line 12 cars deep for the 45 minute 80% charge...at 3am....
Or
It's just setting the timer on your home charger like anyone but a severe dumbass is already doing.

Off-peak charging definitely solves some problems, but in many parts of the country it essentially means charging at night in summer. That addresses peak loads caused by air conditioning during afternoons, but since we don’t presently “store” solar energy in large quantities to use at night, it means much of battery-electric-vehicle charging will be from CO2 producing sources. That has been discussed countless times.
However, balance between solar- and fossil-energy usage for charging will be very different in winter in the south, or when grid loads are not near peak and BEVs can be charged at any time of day. On average over entire year I expect BEVs will reduce global-wide CO2 some.
The technical question I have remains whether we can’t do more good quicker (short term at least) by simply downsizing vehicles, making them more fuel efficient, and by concentrating on hybrids in lieu of battery-electric.

So more what?
harm by mass?
Small car, more charges, same amount of charge facilities.
Four small cars instead of one big/powerful car.
Four of everything but battery
Four times the pollution from manufacturing as a long range/powerful car, same pull on the grid.
It really really is the wrong path.
They need to stay in the realm of toy.
A slight rethink leads to dropping that idea entirely.

I'm hearing a lot of:
"Just leave it, the janitor will clean that up..."
AND
"Heck with it... let the grandkids figure it out..."
It's not a problem until YOUR end of the ship starts sinking...

It's not sinking.
But it will if we allow the non thinker type deep thinkers to build that bonfire on the fantail.
Please go back to the
1,000,000 horses vs 1,000,000 cars
Article.
Fan that fire which is supposed to make ashes of the petros.
I'll let humans take 5% responsibility for the atmospheric changes.
How much do you attribute to people vs sulphur emissions from nature?
(Presidential whisper hint: it's less than1 %)
They pray the fire will spread to prove them right.
