I have 27 size batteries as well- I didn't put them in but they fit. I do not have any flow over the stairs on the heat- did this ever get fixed by anyone (dmcostello?)

Same airflow problem here. It seems to be universal for 28z owners. I was just thinking of getting a heater buddy as a backup for the living area.

Air flow problem. Are you saying that the duct on the left wall next to your steps has no air flow?

correct. No airflow from under the shower. I do not have an access panel, and that seems to be a lot of work to fix a small problem. I live in FL- heat is not a large issue most of the time.

Fourwinds 28Z

I posted this in other thread, but good to put in here since this is specific for the 28z. The breaker for the battery disconnect is located in the shelf next to the sink in the bathroom, has a TINY button on the left side.. I hope this saves someone the trouble I had a couple weeks ago....Click image for larger version

My bathroom vent works fine, but the one at the top of the stairs has zero flow. I can see the hose is kinked back in there, but I can't get to it.

Put it in the shower with some water, so it doesn't dry out.

28z heat system diagram

Thor sent me the attached diagram of the 28z heat vent layout. They suggested removing the toilet and toilet box to get to the ducts under the shower.

Is the "tiny button on the side" the black dot above the screw and is that a reset button?

Intermittent awning/slide

I went to pick up the rig tonight and the awning and slide wouldn't work. Everything else was fine. I figured it was a loose fuse, but after bouncing down the road home everything works fine. It has two different fuses right next to each other, but they were both tight.

I'm guessing a loose connection for those two power supplies. Has anyone ever run into this? Any suggestions on where to check for tight connections?

Fourwinds 28Z

The engine wasnt on was it? That will stop the awning from working not sure about the slide. My slide controller intermittently will not work resetting the 12 V to date has fixed it

DM,
Did you ever try to fix the heat duct under the shower? Just curious.

No. Like you said. It's a lot of work. I'll wait until I have to pull the toilet out. Key words... HAVE TO
