Fresh Water Hookup

I have a 2017 Miramar. Fresh water inlet valve has 2 positions. One is labeled "Normal" and another is labeled "City Fixtures". What is the difference?

"City Fixtures" is for drawing water when you have a hose connected into a fresh water source such as campground water. This allows the coach to use the supplied pressure without using the water pump.

"Normal" is used for drawing water from the on-board fresh water tank using the water pump with the water pump turned on.

Thank you.

Just an FYI...mine was connected backwards. I finally figured it out by laying on my back and sticking my head so I could see behind the panel that holds all the plumbing connections. I just relabelled it and left it alone.

What triggered you to think something was wrong?

Another thing I learned the hard way. Before turning your valve from one position to another, turn off the main water hose. I use to switch mine back and forth with full pressure and mess up a internal seal.

I had it hooked up to fill the tank (I thought)...nothing happened. That's when I discovered the swan valve was connected incorrectly.
