Tire pressure and Cheap Fix

2015 30.4 Miramar 22.5 rubber. Looking at the crossfire dual dynamics . Should I get it and if so what pressure.
Also doing my first trip should I do the cheap fix right away or try it out first.
Going to Palm Springs from Canada. First trip.

Do the CHF right away, and talk to cross fire about the pressure setting. My sticker on the motorhome says max pressure 80 psi. Crossfire recommended a unit with 120PSI setting.
I love my cross fire. No more crawling on the road surface or even crawling underneath the motorhome. I just need to bend a little to read it, or fill more air in!

I got the one Crossfire recommended. I also ordered mine with two ports to allow me too connect my TPMS sensors. I can now still monitor each tire with the added comfort and safety of the crossfire system.
Each morning prior to leaving, I take a look at the crossfire monitor to make sure I start out with enough air in all four rear tires. During the drive I monitor the air pressure with the TPMS.

Yes, you can. Crossfire comes standard with one test port, but for a few dollars ore you can get a second test port, one for each tire.

This way you can check the accuracy of your TPMS because both rear tires of each pair should show the identical pressure on you TPMS monitor.

Correction: I just looked into my documentation and found that I got the 80psi Cross Fire. The monitor shows the black indicator (good pressure) at 80 psi, and different color ID's with over and under pressure.

Why did you go with a 120 psi system. That seems way to high. The sticker psi i believe is for max weight. So the 80 or 85 psi would guve you a better feeling ride

I made a mistake in providing the psi number, see my correction above.
I went with a nominal 80 psi system.

it appears I did not read the posts carefully!!!!

Can one TPMS monitor be placed on the standard single fill stem, and monitor both tires till the safety valve kicks in? This system is new to me, hence the elementary questions.

You can monitor with one test fitting, but this would show the pressure of one tire only. You would not see if the other tire had a sudden pressure loss, because crossfire shuts that tire off automatically to make sure that not both tires deflate.

With the cross fire can you tell which tire I see low. Thinking of a slowl leak how do you identify which one it is. Can you check pressure in each one.

If you have one port only, you cannot identify the leaking tire. You will not have on tire low, because the system tries to equalize the pressure until a certain low set point is reached. At that time the equalization will stop and the leaking tire will continue to loose pressure until it is low enough for you to see it. A second port with a TPMS system connected should show you the low tire while still driving with it (if the leak happened while driving).
