Loose Radio antenna on 2017 Axis

Please share any advice or experience.
We have a 2017 Thor Axis 25.2. While cleaning the roof I noticed the Radio AM / FM antenna over the drivers-side is slightly “loose” against the cab roof and may be a source for leak. I thought about just twisting to tighten, however, I don’t what is beneath the roof antenna to secure it in place. Is the antenna and base which touches the cab able to be simply tightened up to a secure mounting which is in place below? Or does one have to access the cab from the inside ceiling to hold back-up to tighten the antenna to the cab roof?
Also does anyone know if the best way to ensure the am fm antenna is not damaged by pulling the rv cover on and off … is to replace with a “rubber duck” style antenna that bends over completely? … and if so ... is that just a screw off / screw on replacement. Any specs to suggest on replacement antennas? (We’re in south Texas so the ADCO cover is on and off multiple times per year.)
Thank you folks.
