Funky sewage smell

Got that bad smell coming from under the bathroom sink. This am changed the air admittance valve, this pm still have smell. Not as bad but still noticeable. We are in Vegas with temps over 100.

Main question is once new valve is in does it correct immediately or over time and does extreme heat factor into problem? Or is there something else I could do?

Dont know how fast the aav should work but it wouldnt hurt to climb up on the roof and make sure nothing is blocking the vents

If you have the stock stock sewer vent caps, you may want to get one of the siphon type vent caps which will keep a negative pressure on your holding tanks. That is one of the first mods I make on a new rv.

mcr...do they fit over the existing "stub" or do you have to remove them flush with the roof and re-seal around them?

Remove old vent, slide new one on, put self leveling dicorp around base.

Usually a 10-15 minute job. Some may need to be screwed to the vent pipe

Yup!
Mine needed to have three screws put into the vent pipe, in order to hold them in place...
It was such an easy job, that even I managed to get it done!
I took about a half-hour per vent cap. But I was going slow and careful: mentally rehearsing each move before I made it.

The AAV should work after it is installed. Did you use a thread sealer like Teflon tape? Is it screwed on correct? Do you maybe have a crack in one of the pipes? Try putting a cup or two of water in the sink drain.

Very easy job to install. I tried the Cyclone for a couple of years. The sewer vent pipe on the Axis/Vegas is positioned near the bathroom roof vent and shower dome which produces buffeting air currents causing the Cyclone to jump up and down making a bumping noise and eventually loosening the pivot nut inside. I tried two of them and the same thing happened after a few K-miles.

Never had a problem with the Cyclone on any of my other RV's. Only had a problem on the Vegas due to the proximity to the roof vent and dome.
Finally installed the static Siphon vent cap and all has worked fine since.
Forgot to add as far as I can tell, both vents do an equally great job of keep the sewer tanks under negative pressure.

One other thing. When your RV is in motion: Keep the bathroom vent closed. Leaving it open will put your entire bathroom into a "negative pressure" situation, and that'll draw the tank fumes up into it!

This must be an earlier version of the Cyclone: Mine has quite a "topfin" on it...
