My Chateau Sprinter 24sa averages 15.3 mpg at 65 mph

My Chateau Sprinter 24sa averages 15.3 mpg at 65 mph in Florida with A/C on max. our worst was 13.5 mpg in a constant head wind.As for range the fuel tank is 27 gallons the low fuel light come on at 1/4 tank. with 7 gallons left. at 300 miles. You could go to 400 but wouldn't. You never want to run out of fuel. That would require a tow to MB $$$$$$.

No you don't need the Mercedes Benz dealer if you run your Sprinter out of fuel. Late model Sprinter diesels are self priming (fills fuel filter with diesel fuel). To restart after running out of diesel fuel here are your steps.

1. Put several gallons of fuel into the fuel tank.

2. Cycle the key to the on position for 40 seconds (do not start it) this will prime the fuel filter you emptied when you ran out of fuel.

3. Return key to off position then start as usual. (may take a few tries)

I carry a 5 gallon fuel can in case I run out in the boonies.

Palazzo 36.1 with Cummins 6.7 at 11.2 MPG

Just finished a run to western KY and back. average speed was 64 MPH and average MPG was 11.2. Pretty happy with that as we fought wind almost all the way. Stopped both ways (DW says max of 370 miles per day) at a great campground in Seiverville(?) TN - Riverside RV Park - friendly, clean, great sites and close to almost everything. Entry way is not my favorite and there are several dips that you really don't see pulling in. Pilot Fuel station at the corner to fill up before you leave with a GS fuel discount!
