I believe Williams,AZ would be the closest, we stayed there many years ago and drove around to many attractions and the canyon

I did a google maps search and found 2, both NPS. Still looking.
We've never been to the NR in an RV, but it's ON our list, maybe next yr.

William's AZ is a (hard) days drive from the North Rim, might take 2 in a mh, there's so much to see.

DeMotte camp ground about 20 miles from North Rim. Looks big rig friendly?

Try Kaibab Camper Village Campground, Fredonia, Arizona 86022 - Arizona 67 & Forest Rd 461, From Hwy 89A & Hwy 67, go .25 mi S on Hwy 67, then .50 mi W on Forest Rd 461., GPS: 36.71092, -112.23335

We’ve been there twice, and recommend as a good jumping off point for the North Rim area. Full hookups available.

Actually there is a campground just outside of the south rim GC park . Not fancy
By any means but once parked you can walk everywhere in the little
Town and catch the trolley to gc.

We just visited the North Rim last month. We stayed in Kanab UT, at the Kanab RV Corral. We stayed only a night, traveling from Bryce Canyon to the Grand Canyon. IMO the North Rim is so much better than the South Rim. More Rustic, Less people, cooler temps and the views are just as spectacular!

Grand Canyon

Seems the North rim is the place to go for the Grand Canyon experience. Now when is the question, I assume Fall Oct Nov or is that too late?
We are trying to figure out a plan for next year. WE saw Parker Dam and Havasus in our youth.

There is a CG at Jacobs' Lake at the road into NR...also some very nice boondocking spots back east a ways if you are into that type of camping.
