Running the generator weekly with not enough load will cause the plug to foul. Monthly is enough running and need the ac turned on and any other electrical load you can put on it.

Uh why would running the generator weekly with a light load foul the spark plug? The load or lack there of has zero to do with the spark plug. You run the genny under load to heat everything up and dry out all the contacts and any moisture in the armature and stator
