I have had it for several years. Good on catalog prices and at some campgrounds. No real down side that I can see.

IMHO, my answer would be "That depends." If you can use the nickel discount enough at Pilot and Flying J then it's a big yes. We get the same nickel discount at Shell stations with their loyatly card, and use both on the road. You will only find Pilot and FJ on interstate road trips, unless you live near one.

If the fuel discount is of little value to you and you aren't near a C W store, then the answer is probably not. I have found that most of the items at those camping stores can be delivered to you for the same $ or less than the member cost at C W. There again, if you live near one, they carry an impressive array of RV items.

There has been plenty of discussion here about the Good Sam road service, which is a totally different subject. If that is your question, a search here will net many opinions, pro and con.

The only value I have found is the discount at campgrounds. 6 nights at a campground that charges $50.00 a night pays for the subscription. Everything else is worthless to me. Camping World and Gander are over priced, so the discount just brings it to market value. Never seen an Overtons. I have nothing againsts Pilot/Flying J, but other loyalty programs, that are free, provide comparably priced fuels. A couple of side notes on the campground discounts, I have stayed at places that give the discount without checking and a lot of campgrounds give retired military travelers the same discount.

We are happy with it. We don't use the camping world discounts so much. But we do use the camp ground and fuel discounts. It more than pays for itself with us.

That's how i use it most. 5 cents off on gas. And i charge it to my Sam's credit card which gives me 5% off. That is 15 cents a gallon off a $2.00 gallon of gas. Not bad.

I've used Good Sam Roadside Assistance twice in the last year, but it was for my cars, not my RV. On both occasions, I was within city limits and their response time was approximately 30 minutes. Communication was easy using my iPhone, which gave me updates as to the drivers ETA. Hopefully I never have to use it on the road while driving my RV, but I'm assuming the response will be a little different.

Other than that, I've been impressed with the Good Sam Roadside Assistance. Hope this helps.
