Beach sand in grey tank

We had some guests who's children played in the ocean. They didn't know we had an outdoor shower, and showered inside. Can the sand constitute a problem for the grey tank?

Generally, the outlets of the gray waster are 1.5 inches. It would take a great deal of sand to block a 1.5" pipe. The only problem I see would be at the knife valve. If the water is running clear when you close the valve, I see no problem.

Assuming we're not talking about pounds of sand here, it's probably nothing to worry about. The sand will slosh around and work its way out of the tank within the next few dumps. Hopefully it won't make your dump valve "crunchy" in the meantime.

I agree: this shouldn't be a major concern.
Open the Gray water dump valve, and run a whole bunch of really hot water down the kitchen sink, and out the "slinky"...
That should clean things out!

With three kids, and several beach trips in the rig over the years, I no doubt have dumped a rather large amount of sand through the grey tank without a problem.

The beach sand around here is pretty hard to get off with that outdoor shower. even with soap, it's hard to get it all with the inside shower. Kids can collect a lot of sand on their bodies.

I figure most works it's way out over time, but I figure there's always some sand sediment in the bottom of the tank that just never makes it out.
