Those escape windows work both ways

A couple of months ago, we were on a trip and the same thing happened on our Thor Quantum KM24! Fortunately, we had a couple of windows that are marked as fire escapes open. We grabbed a lawn chair, climbed up, slid open the window and screen and I crawled in. Having a spare key would have been much easier on this aging body! :-)

It also keeps the neighbors from calling the Police, and reporting a burglary in progress.
Were the Police Officers nice to you?

I have that trouble on my Miramar 34-2. It just slips down intermittently so we leave the passenger side window unlocked.

I haven’t been able to tighten it up, I have no idea how to remedy the issue without paying service fees.

Has anyone else experienced this? Anything we can adjust/tighten to prevent this from happening again? Only solution we came up with is to keep the passenger door unlocked.
Ya hide an extra set of keys maybe in the LP tank compt. that never locks....simple, logical, fix that requires no money and little thought.

I'd rather not use the propane bay; it's too obvious.

Not where I put it. You want to go to the trouble of getting the key from where I tuck it, you're welcome to come in. Bring the beers...oh....watch out for that really loud, really loud horn that blows after 30 seconds...if you know what I mean.

Yup!
It shouldn't be easy to get to the spare...
It just needs to be available when the crap hits the fan.

I put combination cam locks on my compartment doors. That way I don't need a key to get into them and can lock an extra set in there.

This is exactly what we do. But before we did, I got locked out once too. My wife was inside. She panicked and opened a window to hand me my keys versus simply unlocking the door

So I bought 2 extra spare sets, one set is always at home, my set, my wife's set, and the set we keep in the Realtor's box that has combination. I don't even remember how I got the Realtor's lockbox but it works fine.

I don't leave it in the LP compartment 24/7, just when we travel someplace to stay.

In my case, I figured out why I got locked out. Had nothing to do with Trimark, but kind of a design flaw when opening the door. I have 2 steps down inside the RV; so if you are not careful, when stepping down and pushing the door open, you can accidentally push the little red lock lever down locking the door and not know it. I am very careful now and it has not happened again. But if it did, and if I did not have my keys in pocket; I can go open my realtor lockbox in LP compartment

If you keep it in LP compartment and light up simple cigarette lighter, you will get plenty of light

You sure will!
But the worst thing; is that after this happens a half-dozen times or so: your insurance agent won't want to take your calls anymore...

To avoid lock outs

We bought a small, pastic black key holder on Amazon. It attaches to a frame rail under the camper with it's magnets. Just put it out of sight.

I want to fix my door lock set so it doesn’t happen anymore.

Not interested in a work around on a vehicle that costs this much.

I guess I’m looking for solution with some thought put into it.

Please remember that it's tough to fix something that ain't busted (yet...)
The largest majority of all RV owners will never have an issue with their Tri-Mark locksets.
It's just nice to have a "Plan B" ready; for if things do go wonky...
Besides: locking the RV, and losing your keys, is always a more likely possibility.

To avoid lock outs

If you want to spend the money, have your door lock replaced with a programable unit which you create a code for.

Same here

Yes same here, poor design, sure it’s easy to say hide a key. How about fix the issue.
