City Water Inlet, Specs.

I have a 2017 Thor Windsport (or Hurricane).

My city water inlet is stripped and not holding a hose any longer. I need to drive a few hours to replace it and want the right part.

It looks as if they come in 3/4 and 1/2 Male or Female pipe thread. Anyone replaced theirs and know which it is? I would assume its 1/2" male, but assuming has bit me in the seat more than once.

I believe that a standard garden hose is 3/4" which seems to be what most RVs I see are made to work with.

Thanks, however I'm asking about the connection to the RV plumbing.

Ok, I mis-read your question. Are you repairing yourself or taking it somewhere? If doing it yourself I would pull off the stripped part and check what size it is. There does seem to be quite a bit of variation in things between different rigs. Otherwise if you are taking it to a shop they probably have the part you need already.

Pull it off, take it with you, buy the brass one if you can swing it.

So it looks like its 1/2.

Ordered a new one, as suggested all in brass.

My RV is used a lot so this may not happen to you, but I will tell you this story anyway. After lots of use the 100% plastic inlet wears where the threads for the hose are. And once worn, the hose can just pop out of the city water fitting. So if your RV is getting used a lot it would behoove you to replace it before you have this occur.

They are miserable.
It's why I suggested the brass.

Aside:
Up until about five years ago I truly believed I could toss a garden hose in the general direction of a hose bib, put a little English on the toss and get the hose end catch two threads before the rest of it hit the ground.

Something has changed.
It's not tiny little need a magnifying glass to tell if they're hex or subzero Phillips, it's not the 1/2-28 threads on something hot, it's not the blind reach around the back of the drain then UP under the sink 2 inch/48 flippin threads on a faucet bottom
It's a damn hose bib.
I'm sitting right there, cross legged on flat ground, the bib exactly nose height, I STILL can't get the damn thing to thread in five tries.

I have swapped to unions on some and firehose quick connects on others.
Regular old unions sure make it a LOT easier than hose thread does.
Half the union on the hose and the other half on the bib.

I don't have the problem but I bet they're great for non grippy old sore hands.

Those are good ideas. Thank you...
