Question heater gas or electric

Just purchased a Thor 2016 Freedom Elite. When i switch the power from store to use, the heater comes on but there is no gas going to it... just wondering if it is suppose to do this or if the heater is electric and gas... i know the fans runs on electric, but it is actually heating????

Welcome to the site.

The furnace uses propane. You have to make sure your propane is on and that there is some in the lines (sometimes you have to use the stove to bleed the air out of the line--I just turn on a burner and hold a BBQ lighter close until the burner is on).

The real trick it to use a small portable electric heater when your plugged in.

If you are not plugged into shore power and your use/store switch is off. When you turn the use/store switch on and your thermostat is set to furnace yes the fan will go on as its a 12v item. The furnace is propane only, as said before make sure you have propane and its turned on, then bleed the line using the stove.

Check fan switch on your thermostat. Sounds to me like fan switch is set on "fan", which will cause fan to run continuously. Set this switch to "auto" and fan will come on when thermostat is beginning to run either a/c or heater. Also, when in heat mode, fan will come on for a few seconds before burner in heater starts up.
