Help Frameless windows 2020 Vegas

Just in case what is recommended for frameless windows if a sealant is needed? I heard silicone is bad?

Also do you apply it to the rubber seal or behind the rubber seal, etc?

I have a Citation 24SK and my windows would not keep a seal driving down the road. The windows are at least a 1/4 in larger than the frame and are thin and bow in the middle, and wind comes inside. There was 1/2 deep gap at least a1/4 thick catching wind.

I bought 3/16 soft foam stripping from HD, and 11/32 window pile stripping. The windows hinge on the top and have two set screws. Crank the window open, remove a set screw and the glass slides off. The existing weather stripping is a paper thin 1/8 in. Use soft foam that compresses next to the existing stripping. When reinstalling the window, I did not center it as before because that still allows a gap to catch wind. I evened the front edge with the frame. That allowed enough room on the trailing edge of the glass for the pile, which filled the gap. The pile does not touch the body paint by a fraction.

For my situation I needed to remove the gap and seal the windows.
