Help help please

Hello RV community...
I have a 2023 Thor Challenger 36FA and an alarm keeps going off that is alien sounding and it goes off intermittently when starting off on trips and we don't know what it's from. Comes thru the stero. I provided a link to the sound, the Thor manufacturer doest recognized it, neither does Ford.

Does any know what this is

First I've heard of an alarm coming through the stereo speakers.

Is this a brand new MH or did you buy it used?

What brand stereo do you have?

Brand new, 2023 Thor Challenger 36FA. Weird, there is no brand name printed anywhere on stero unit. I bet the link you sent had the same alarm and went thru stero. Ours happens similar. Starts about .2 mile after moving and intermittently goes off for about 30 mins of drive then goes away.

I tried a Google search using the audio from your video-- couldn't get Google to hear it, though. Maybe if you have a louder, longer, sample of the sound you could search. I had my system up to 100% volume with no luck.

Also, is there any chance there is an alarm configured on a Bluetooth connected phone? Do you have anything else in the camper that is Bluetooth connected? That seems to be the most logical explanation.

The android auto usb port is broken so that sending a new one but in mean time I removed the USB pluging module so I could plug in direct to the android auto USB. Could that be it?

You should have been give a packet of manuals for all equipment installed in your MH, the stereo included.

Failing that you should have a build sheet inside one of your cabinets listing all equipment installed in your RV.

Failing that you can log into the Thor Owners Resource Page at https://www.thormotorcoach.com/owner-resource/
with your VIN and obtain the build sheet and all manuals applicable to your RV.

Didn't see it on paperwork and lookup of vin on thor just says stero, also no manual on stero included

It should list both radios. See the first attachment.

Searching the manuals for "radio" gets me all the documents on my radios. See the second attachment.

Does your radio have an ID splash screen when you first turn it on?

Can you navigate in your radio's settings to the "about" page that tells you the model and firmware revision?

I did the same and pulled up manual, doesn't say anything about alarms

Well then, the next logical step in the troubleshooting is to unpair your phone and go for a drive to see if the siren activates through the radio. That would confirm or eliminate David's guess above.

That would imply my phone has an alarm with that sound playing and I don't have that sound. I'll give it a try anyway

Sounds like speed limit alarm. might be that it is set to low such as, 5 miles ph under the speed limit. I set mind for over 5

No such thing AFAIK. There is a Speed Limiter in the ECM that limits the MH speed tom 75 (or 80) MPH - but no alarm goes off. It just stops going faster because the electronic throttle is no longer opening.

I don't know that anyone has asked:
If you leave your radio off
Then turn your radio on after 30 minutes of driving
Is the noise the same as you describe when initially starting your vehicle?

Have you tried it with your coach battery disconnected?
Have you tried it with headlights off/on?
Do you have one of those ungodly reverse alarms?
SEAT BELT ALARM?
Is there a sound loop caused by a speaker vs a microphone?

I don't think the op has tried very many combinations of combinations...

Are you dead sure it comes through the speakers, or even the radio at all?
