It's just us this year.
We're really looking forward to it.
We're cooking a capon (look it up) on one of those old table top rotisseries. It'll warm the house during the big coming storm.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!
We will go to south house in the Vegas to spend day with Son and Grandsons. Will also pack a bathing suit. Will leave on Friday for race weekend. I am finishing up engine replacement in race car wearing shorts and tanktop. Weather nice here the last few days.

Cooked the pumpkin and made the pie filling weeks ago.
We're going to buy a pumpkin Friday (should be pretty cheap) hollow it out and stuff a pork roast in it and top it off with apple cider. Will roast it a long time. We're not expecting it to be anything special but we like the concept.

You're too far away to make it to dinner tomorrow and it's just a capon.
We'll keep some in the freezer for you on your next grand canyon trip.
An aside:
We always feed a work crew if they're here.
Drywallers, roofers, painters, concrete, roadcrew...they get fed.
The electrician stopped by one day for lunch.
He saw guys up on our roof doing a tear off and knew we'd be cooking.
He hadn't worked here in over a year.
