Hose to Nowhere???

I have a 2017 ACE 27.2 that I just recently found has a hose in an outside storage compartment that "seems" to go nowhere. The compartment is under the bathroom. It's a small, silver hose much like is used on dryers but smaller diameter. I operated the furnace and there is warm air coming from it. I also checked the heat vent in the bathroom which is blowing warm air along with one in the bedroom which is working. If it was a hose that came loose from somewhere, I don't see it in that all the vents in the coach are working and blowing warm air.
I know some coaches have heated water tanks for cold weather and this seems to be in the area where some tanks are by the hose....maybe?
Some pics show it better than I can explain.
Any help?

Yup that is what that is: A heater line to keep that compartment warm enough for the two tanks to not freeze.

Looks like something is missing

It looks to me like something is missing here. I would suspect that some kind of baffle has been left off or dropped off. Throwing warm air just out the bottom of the coach between tanks does not look very effective to me unless there is something before the silver exhaust pipe that you show that channels warm air in or around the storage tanks before it exits the pipe.

This is the way it is on my coach. There is heat directed into every compartment that has water lines or a tank (four in total).

Same with mine. Just the duct sticking out. I agree it looks unfinished. Been idly wondering if i could put a little vent on it to make it look better, but that's a pretty low priority!

It's a tank compartment heater...leave it alone.

Granted it might look unfinished and maybe it was tucked up further into the hole. The way the inside vents are arranged, it looks like that piping, ductwork whatever at least goes past those tanks. It does put out some good heat I might add. I think I'll let it alone as is. Second thing, I'm in FL and my camping in cold weather stops somewhere around 60 degree days. If we get a night that's lower than 50, it's really a cold night and I have little intention of going somewhere that's colder than that. I left that and want for it to stay gone.
Thanks for all the input from your folks.

If you don't use it for heat, then it becomes an easy way for rats to get in without having to chew through anything. Maybe it's not bad after all....who wants rats chewing things up??

I might put a small screen over it...granted, anything that wants to play in the gerbil tunnel would have to break through the lock on the compartment but these rats are smart. Ran into a guy with a TT a few weeks back that had to put a screen over his furnace port outlet....mud buggers (his term) were getting in there and building and clogging
p the vent.

A screen over the end would be good for garments or bugs, yuck!!
