I'm not sure if you're asking about the weight of the five gallon tank vs the 500 Gallon tank I have at my stick house or if you're asking if a fire pit will run off of your rv BBQ stub or if you're asking if stick house propane is different than rv propane.

Does your fire pit have it's own regulator?
(Sorry: I know very little about them. )

yes, it has the fitting that goes directly on the portable LP tanks you get at gas stations.

Your current propane setup for your firepit almost certainly has a regulator on the 5 gallon tank and then a low pressure hose from the regulator to the firepit. All you have to do is disconnect the hose from the regulator, hook it up to a quick connect adapter and a valve and connect it to your coach's external propane fitting.
Amazon has all of these fittings for $20, much cheaper than Extend a Stay- https://www.amazon.com/Propane-Conne...s%2C194&sr=8-3

Versions of the brand name Extend a Stay I see on Amazon for $20... https://www.amazon.com/MENSI-Propane.../dp/B088K9DCGY
Just depends what else you might want to do...
Can attach an external propane bottle, or run any regulated propane appliance without modifying with the Extend a Stay style.
Certainly nothing wrong with removing regulator and hooking up to low pressure quick connect.
My rig had neither, so I opted for extend a stay style (ability to attach external bottle was requirement for our long trips at the time) and carry a high pressure hose and a hose with a regular and quick disconnect in line...
Saving one mobile propane refill more than paid for even the brand name adapter... lol

Extend a stay certainly will work but is awkward as it often leaves the RV’s regulator unsupported. If you don’t already have a quick connect propane access on you rig it’s really simple to add (just a tee fitting on the low pressure side with a quick connect fitting). Then you can scrap your fire pit’s regulator (another fitting) and you have an easy elegant solution.

What support do you think the regulator is supposed to have?

Well, you’re right, of course. The regulator just hangs on the fittings. If you add a relatively large extend a stay valve it moves the regulator such that the cover no longer fits and, in my case, making the connection to the coaches piping strained. My statement was inaccurate and poorly considered. I stand corrected. But I’d still recommend a connection downstream the coach regulator.

I’m doing that just now for my Blackstone
My ‘17 Vegas did not have an outside/external propane hook-up
So i’m creating one by installing a T fitting under the stove-top.
Then running the new line through the floor and out the passenger side.
I’ll be using this cover (with a plastic square bowl backstop behind the exterior wall to protect the brass connection fittings)

If your coach already has the quick connect the regulator on that fire pit will need to be removed or you'll get very little, if any, flame.

The most important part is the connection between the hose and the fire pit
(Every thing else is pretty standard)
So take your current connection to:
a BBQ store
Or
Home Depot, Lowe’s
Or
look on Amazon
But may be hard to find on-line unless you know exactly what you’re looking for

Good chance it would be this style, you just have to confirm the fire pit connection size. Quick Connect Propane Hose
