Hubcaps

After losing two hub caps off the same wheel and not being able in put the third one on. I have decided to research. Does anyone have a trick to install these hub caps and keep them on. This is on a '08 Four winds .Danny@deatherage.net

A good rubber mallet, put the cap on the rim and start tapping it on all the way around. Don't be afraid to wack it a good one to force it on the rim.

Line the inside of the wheel where that rusty contact circle from the hubcap fingers is with duct tape. Then tap the hubcap on with a rubber mallet .

The fingers from the hubcap will dig into the duct tape and that hubcap will stay put.

I'm going to take a wild guess but to me looks like the wrong hubcap. The wheel is deep and the hubcap looks like its too shallow to fit the wheel properly. Like I said, just a guess.

It looks like a rear wheel & a front hubcap? If they're that much trouble, I'd touch up the paint on the wheel & leave them off, it would be easier the check the air pressure without them.

I've lost three of my four hubcaps on my 2019 Thor Synergy. The last one after it appeared to be tight on the rim. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Beginning to think the hubcaps just don't fit the rims properly. I've not replaced the front hubcaps because the Mercedes Sprinter rims look ok with just the stock wheels that came with the RV. Now I'm down to just one hubcap.

I'm seriously considering painting my wheels and just using something like these:
https://www.amazon.com/Alloys-Dually...80034309&psc=1

When I had the alignment done, the guy commented on how the wheel simulators didn't really fit the wheel because he couldn't get it to sit flush with the wheel. Said he wouldn't be responsible if they came off!
