I have found the most valuable tool for winterizing a VEGAS/AXIS

Last fall and this spring I fought to find the valves to winterize our 25.2, since mist of our valves are out of site (and almost out of reach)

This year I got a mirror to be able to see the valves, and what color of hose they we're actually attached to...

If someone had posted about this technological marvel, I had missed it.

But, it made my life much easier this time around...

I use a telescoping mechanics mirror for that and to check my chassis battery. Works great.

5000 BTU ceramic heater by Pelonis. Keeps the ice devils at bay the few days a year they visit. Keeps the 25.2 toasty with a outside temp of 34. Not toasty but not freezing with outside temp of 23.

I thought that the "best winterizing tool", would be a map pointing to locations in the South!

Already there. Here's a screenshot of a couple mornings ago in North Georgia. Running south, now at Georgia Veterans Memorial State Park.

WonderDog,

I you have time try Old Federal Park on Lake Lanier. We spent the 4th of July there and had a blast! Tyr out site 53.

Of course that little bit of distance south has resulted in milder temps at Ga Vets Mem SP. Pic from tonight while sitting outside by the fire.

DocMike
Can I get to Lake Lanier on state roads and avoid Atlanta interstates?

It's off of I-40 near Flowery Branch Ga. Picture below from the 4th.

I know what you mean the I-75 and its offspring (the inner and outer and various loops) are horrible. My in-laws live in Flowery Branch and that is all the closer to Atlanta that I will drive.

Very nice Doc. Last time I saw Lanier was in early 70s when I lived and worked in Sandy Springs. Went night fishing with floating lights for crappie with a friend. Drank a bunch of beer, no fish caught. . Ah, the bad old days!
