Installing Scissor Jacks

I was looking to install my scissor jacks to the chassis, but my buddy said I shouldn’t drill into the chassis because it can mess with the integrity of it. Is this true?

Not sure but I installed scissor jacks on the rear of our class c moterhome to help stabilize some. I was surprised how well the actually help keep the rocking to a minimum. I drilled thru the frame and attached the with the self threading bolts supplied. We really like how much it helped, not 100% rock solid but pretty close.

I Installed Front & Rear scissor jacks on my class C
The back Jacks I used 2 Bolts drilled one hole and used a hole that was already there.
The front I did the same but I also had to add approx 1" spacer.
They are rated 5000 lbs each but I wouldn't dare try to use them to lift the entire rig.
I do use them to help level the the motorhome, approx 1" .
They help a lot in keeping the motorhome stable.

I put scissor jacks on back of my class c. Did not have to drill any holes. I turned One of the mounting plates on the jacks and it matched up with holes in frame.

I got them from CW. Catalog #34586. The top plates are in a “T” pattern, unbolt them are turn one to the inside and the holes will line up with the holes in back of RV frame.

So you just mount them and drive with them bolted to frame?

I have some welded to the frame. Its no different than a travel trailer with scissor jacks: Crank them up and drive away (don't forget to do that before moving, however ).
