Insurance Rant
I've read the threads/posts/horror stories about Good Sam (AKA National General/Allstate) rate hikes on renewal but over the last 5 years my hikes were minimal for my MH and primary toad. My numbers don't mean a lot to those with different locations and vehicles but they are good for my story.
We started out in the mid $600s for a 6 month policy and as of April 2022 it had increased over the years to $709 last April. I just got my renewal bill for the next 6 months and it is $1056; an increase of over 40% in a year with no claims and two vehicles another year older so comprehensive and collision should be cheaper.
They claim it's due to "claims increase and cost of litigation in my state", but if that was the case, then why hasn't the premium for my other two vehicles, insured by a different company, increased by a similar amount?
So a heads up to those of you insured by this company - someday their premium roulette wheel will land on your number.

RV Insurance
I have my Collision, Comprehensive and $300,000 liability with Progressive. The balance of my liability is with Chubb. The Progressive renewal in October was $953 for 1 year on a 2019 Vegas 24.1. It was not an increase. As you know, insurance in Florida is a mess-too many uninsured drivers and way too much litigation.
I would also suggest checking with Progressive.

State Farm, we've had only two agents in in 47ish years.
I wouldn't know I had a complaint if I did have a complaint.
All the motor vehicles(8 street licensed, some with stated value, 1963 through 2021), 4x4 RV, house, shop, ranch, land, equipment, many trailers, fat big ol' umbrella($4mm?), $650k replacement on my shop...they all total a $600 monthly automatic payment. $250 Deductible(it went down when I turned 65.).
Interest from a savings account pays it. I consider it to be zero cost.

Most of our property is insured through Farm Bureau
Changed the motor home to Geico with a better deal at $250,000 valuation. Cheaper rate than I have seen posted for less coverage.
Worth giving them a try

I'm another one who will suggest Progressive. Our policy is about to renew, and the increase brought us up to only $799 for 12 months. Of course, that is for our situation. Yours will be different, but for that difference it's worth a look.

We've been with GEICO since the 80s. Our six month policy for the Hurricane is $490.00. Every now and then I shop our policy to the other companies, Progressive, State Farm, Germania, etc. that have agents or offices in our area. For us, no one ever beats the price.

I am a long time Progressive customer, boats & motorcycles, when I 1st bought RV their price was not good. I think they saw new RV owner with no experience as disaster written all over it. I eventually went with Geico because I had to have something to buy and drive back. 2 months later I got new quotes and I let Good Sams quote for me as I am a member. They offered me a Progressive 40% less than Progressive. Later the rate when down two years in a row as it was connected with my motorcycles and boat. But like you my rate went up this cycle. I have no claims so I don't have understanding of why, short they just raising money as repairs are all more expensive these days

I had the same the same thing happen with our Good Sam insurances. Went from 680 to 1300 in a year. Switched back to progressive and it went back down to 600.00. Got the same there have been a lot of claims. I was like that sounds great but in my 30 years of driving I have never had an accident or even a speeding ticket so why should my insurance go up? Couldn’t get a different response. I totally get things are more expensive but why screw over the people that aren’t making claims.
