WE have a Verizon jet pack, and use Netflix and a amazon firestick and they do throttle it back after 20 gig to a 3g but Netflix never seems to lag or buffer on it and kids watched Netflix from ohio to Colorado with only a few instances of signal loss which was corrected by putting jetpack up by the windshield instead of the counter top.

We need to set up a rally in the middle of the U.S. and have a real geek come in and break all this down for us with demos on how to use everything. I think the turnout would be huge...another Woodstock. We could have oxygen tents, Geritol smoothies, free eye exams, hearing tests, a dermatologist burning off bumps, a "comb-over" hair specialist...lots of cool things we could really use. Who's in?

Too funny. I should mention that we have Netflix and Amazon Prime for typical old stuff streaming. I'm really interested in Live including 4 major networks, TBS, TNT, ESPN, etc

yes Hulu LIVE has All of those. Plus BTN & I do watch Blackhawks games also. Website has the channel logos. On another note. Ever want to watch a game outside, in garage, etc. now you can plug tv. in anywhere you have WIFI all channels. Or always on your phone then stream anywhere. 1 button push on phone & live streaming tv.

Vue will let you watch anywhere, but will cut you off if the device you’re watching on hasn’t logged in from your home location in 60 days or more.
I ran into this problem on our last trip. Vue would not let me watch. Netflix and other apps were fine. I called Vue tech support and they told me there was nothing they could do to help me. I guess I’ll have to start logging in to Vue on all three of my FireSticks in the coach before leaving home on all future trips.

Features just about all the streaming services now offer...
Hmm if only a website did a comparison of the services available.

I will 2nd that motion! How about someone knowledgeable on making a rig more handicap accessible so that we can extend our rv'ing lives far into the future? What good is it to finally retire & get the rv's of our dreams if med or mobility issues shorten the life span of our rv lives? Also, maybe an expert on proper care & maintenance of those of us who rely on an oil can (like inordinate amounts of naproxen sodium) for the ever increasing metal parts or for plain old arthritic conditions in various body parts. I think I've mentioned that I'm related to Dorothy's good friend the Tin Man???

This, along with the Verizon "Red Box", as the wife calls it, will give us TV and internet...I think. The $200K+ MH with the huge 50" entertainment center TV...isn't a smart TV...I don't think. Most campgrounds now throttle back your WIFI (if they even offer it) if you stream on their network. They only want you to have access to emails and basic web search.

I agree, Hulu Live has all that, but as I think I mentioned previously, I found out the hard way that if you travel frequently or are fulltiming, Hulu will allow only 4 changes of location per year from where you 1st registered for a Hulu account. It will give you an out of area message & not let you access your normal programing when you aren't in your registered home area. The notice also informs you of the 4 changes of area per year.
That's why I recently jettisoned the Hulu & am trying the Youtube TV that claims (I'll know soon enough how truthfilly) that while you choose one "home" area, you can change your viewing area wherever you wander as often as needed. So far, through at least 6 states, the service has automatically determined my current viewing area & changed my local line up accordingly (while still allowing me to view stuff from my home area at the push of a button).
To access wifi in general, I'm using the hotspot on my Tmobile unlimited Military One plan. Now I have that coupled with a Verizon Jetpack Ellipsis as a prepaid unlimited, bc just last week Tmobile sent me a 1st time ever warning that my access was being "throttled" due to going above 50 gigs in a single month. So far, this combination works well & my cell range has been significantly improved with the use of the rv specific version of WeBoost.

Hulu Live has "multi screen" Option. Never had issue nor have my college kids using, my home, summer home or Rving. Plus they have 1 week FREE Trial that a person can see if the package is right for them.

Haven't seen Philo mentioned. $16.00 a month. You get 43 channels, unlimited DVR and the online libraries seem to have quite a few shows. If you don't care for sports channels and news channels it's a good option. Quality has been just as good as Youtube TV, which was flawless for us. We only switched because of the price.
We use a TIVO for locals and get most of our news online.

Seems you get decent connections, just use a lot of data? Not sure how much Verizon is costing but if you know how much data you're using, you and 'Amp up...' your T-Mobile plan (second paragraph: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-37061)
Thanks for the Weboost review. Can you say how much your plan is costing you. I filled out the military info have to get an electronic version of my 214.

That's why I went with a at&t hotspot and the 30/mo plan. To make my 4 line phones all unlimited was 100 additional over my 5GB/mo plan

It's half the cost of what it was before the military one plan came out, but I have my youngest kids still on it till the end of April, & some equipment charges, so I'm not sure what it's going to be afterwards. I think I already have the amped up, as I started with a legacy acct to begin with, but you've got me wonderin about it so I will check that out too. As for why I chose the Verizon jetpack instead of the tmobile surf, its bc by combining the two, I should have about as good a coverage as you can get.

anyone that wants to learn more about your options can join this for 75 a year. they have user reviews and keep upto date on plans and hardware. good investment if you want to keep upto date on stuff and promotions/sales.

Got it. Thanks. Safe Travels.
Just FYI - TBirds at Davis Monthan air show next weekend if you're close enough. They'll have A10s too. You may have seen a few of those. I crewed one. Can't wait to get close again.
"Admission to the air show is free, but there are premium seating areas with a limited number of tickets available, including the exclusive Thunderbolt Club" (re:

This breaks down into three different problems you have to solve:
1. How do you get your Internet? With sufficient speed, with enough bandwidth to support your viewing habits, and at a cost you find bearable.
2. Which content provider (programming) is right for you? Do you need a full on cable replacement or can you get by with a little less? And at what cost?
3. How will you display the content on your screen of choice? A tablet or notebook computer or a TV set? If a TV is your choice do you want a 'smart' one or a 'dumb' one with an add on box, like Roku, AppleTV or FireTV?
While all of these are interrelated they are separate technologies that have to be addressed. Currently, there is no one purchase you can make which solves all three of these issues. And if there were I don't think I'd want it. You'd be locked into the choices that that manufacture made for you. I want the ability to change each of these choices in the future, independently of the other two.
