Inverter won't power Residential Fridge in 37KT

Just picked up our 2014 Challenger 37KT yesterday and while at the dealer we discovered that the Inverter wouldn't power the Residential Fridge... does anyone know where we can start to troubleshoot? It works while plugged in and while generator is running. But our impression is that the inverter should power the fridge. The dealer was no help said "yeah sorry you will have to always be plugged in or run your gen... that is not an option for us 100% of the time. Any help is much appreciated.

I don't have the same RV but mine only works on 110V and gas. So generator and hookup power must be available or use propane.

The spec page on the Thor website shows an 1800 watt inverter. That is what we have on our 35sk and it powers the fridge. It does not power it for very long (6 hours) before the coach batteries start to get low. The inverter switch display will show the voltage of the batteries.

You might check to see if your inverter will power your televisions with shore power and generator power off. If not, you may have a breaker thrown on the inverter.

Good Luck

When we discovered the issue we checked the TV's they all work as expected. I called the Manufacture (since the dealer was no help) and they confirmed that Yes the fridge should run on the inverter and gave us some things to check. Just haven't had a chance to do that yet... one thing he said to check was to make sure that the outlet was wired correctly, we suspect that the outlet that the fridge is plugged into is not the kitchen outlet wired to the inverter... simple enough to check. I will update when I have more info.

Thanks for the help though!
