Kitchen counter gets hot
We recently purchased a Miramar 35.3 and when we run the heater the kitchen cabinets get really hot, the pots and pans in the lower cabinet get too hot to touch. There are no leaks from the heater duct that I can see, it is not insulated and I am going to wrap the heater vent hose in a blanket of insulation. Has anyone else run across this issue. The heater vent is just a thin plastic accordion hose.
Thanks,

Is the furnace near there? Check the vent hose all the way back to the furnace and then inspect the furnace--probably have an open port there or the hose not connected.

This is what I found on our coach. Heater vent hose was not connected to the heater, just laying on the floor. You may have the same problem or something similar.

If access is difficult: you could try using a mirror...
That would at least let you know if you need to "limber-up" even more!
Good luck!

We got rid of our Millennial about nine years ago...
I just knew that he'd be useful for more than just yardwork!

Yes, in our rig the furnace is inside the curbside bathroom cabinet. Even with all the ducts properly connected, the bathroom gets like a sauna with the furnace operating. I can see why, if your furnace is inside the kitchen cabinets or nearby, and/or a duct is disconnected, why it would heat up so much. That sucker gets HOT!

I removed the bottom drawer to gain access and found that one of the heater hoses was not connected and the clamp was missing. I went out and bought a new clamp and installed the hose. Good thing I looked because I also found the ice maker hose dripping. The fitting was loose. Tightened it up and all is good.
Thanks for the tips.

I don't understand, where is quality control at these RV manufacturers??? I worked for a manufactured housing Corp. and these oversights would have cost people there job. Hope some production managers are reading these piss-poor reviews of there products... Bob Trice

If RV's ever fall into the HUD specs like manufactured housing did (when the term 'mobile home' went away), these issues will go away.

That is probably true; but what would it do to the pricing?
...And the delivery dates?

But since we already have ours...
It might even free up some space in the RV Parks!

There is NO incentive to improve quality when people continue to buy your products. Detroit didn’t care about quality until the Japanese started importing cars that were actually well made. Don’t think that will ever happen with the RV industry, unfortunately.
