Tips for our stay at Thor Factory Warranty Service Department?

We are making the trek out to Indiana for service next month. Does anyone have any tips for our visit there while our work is being done? Can we stay in our RV - do they provide a rental car while you are waiting or should I reserve one now? If they don't allow you stay in your RV - is there a good hotel option? And lastly are there any sights to visit while we are in Indiana waiting? Thanks to everyone in these forums - I would be lost without you

AnnieL64 - first off GREAT move to go back to your coach's birthplace. The team at Thor factory service is GREAT. Dennis, the shop manager, is very knowledgeable and very customer centric. You should get there Sunday night. There are a number of slots to plug into either 30 or 50 amp service with water hookups. The power is even, the water pressure low. There is a dump station at the beginning of the parking area.

You can stay in your coach but the day for the Thor team starts early 7:00ish and ends about 3:00 PM. You can stay in your coach (IME). Not knowing how much work you need done your use of the coach shortens the amount of time by about 1 hour that the techs have to work - they will move the coach in and out each day for your stay. If you don't stay in your coach, moving in and out is eliminated. There are a number of hotels close by.

We made a few day trip to relatives in upstate NY, had so many things that required the tech's time that it was better used working and not moving our coach. It is your call.

We had 1 week blocked out - and gotta say the team absolutely nailed it. We had one pesky problem and for a few reasons we opted to leave the coach and come back and give Dennis's team more time. Dennis said "i've never had anyone leave here unhappy and I don't mean to start with your coach.".

Hope that helps.
