Leak from shower drain

My husband and I came back to TX to pick up our Windsport, where we left it all winter, to bring back to ME. Upon taking showers we have a bad leak either from water pipes leading to shower knobs or in our drain. The leak runs out under the wall between shower and bedroom. I'd like to know how we get to the pipes or under the shower to check out the drain

On our Axis and from what I have read about others, there is an inspection plate that unscrews from the front of the shower pan. We had some type of leak that showed up too. Found out that the shower drain nut was loose. Tightened it up and the leak went away. I have read that some leaks were from other sources like the water lines going to the shower connections.
