Not only that, but the process of getting there is rather disturbing as it jacks the front, side to side in a jerky fashion. At a campsite, it is even worse. There it bounces around and occasionally shuts off with a "Low voltage" warning having popped the breakers. The logic needs work.

It is much easier to simply level it manually. I have the Level Mate Pro. I just sit in the chair and use my phone readout to get it as best as I can. One must learn to let perfection go though as the jacks are not precise enough in their movement to allow small movements for exact leveling. Getting that last 0.2" right is a frustrating process that just leaves the coach higher than it really needed to be (mimics the auto process, I guess).

"One must learn to let perfection go though..." <--great answer.

Hydraulic pressure is not a factor in the controller logic for leveling the coach. It is only looking for the Zero point level.

No, and when you auto level it is much higher than if you manually level. That is why most people manually level

I doubt there is a correlation between the extension of a jack and the pressure required to extend it other than the difference at contact and when the suspension is no longer taking any weight. Extension readings would have to come from a different type of sensor. In other words, your load is not changing, so the pressure needed to move that load would not change.

Exception would be air suspension or air bags. Since air compresses unlike hydraulic fluid, you need more pressure to lift something further. With hydraulics, you just need more piston and fluid.

Nope, need more pressure. Remember, you are transferring the weight of the MH from the tires and suspension to the jacks. The higher you go, the more weight is on the jack and the less weight is on the tire/suspension until the wheel lifts off the ground.

I allowed for that in my answer above, but it is not linear enough to be useful for anything. I did not mention tires as they are unsprung weight. (Okay maybe a couple of inches of sidewall flex) <grin>

Holy Crap...as long as I don't roll off the bed and land on my "kickstand", I'm good. Last oblong pancake i ate tasted just like the perfectly round one I ate before that. Maybe I'm weird.
