Looking for an owners manual

I'm sure this question has come up more then once......but I'm looking for the owners manual online for my 2012 Thor Freedom Elite 31R. I called Thor HQ and I called Camping World.....no help or suggestions from either. Any help from the forum would be appreciated.

Thxs,
RV Embark

Well the owner's manual from Thor won't get you much. Do you have a specific item you're looking for or just want the manual to read up?

Typically Thor includes a generic motorhome manual that doesn't have much in it and then includes the manuals for all the appliances and devices installed in the coach. You can pretty much get all that in an afternoon of googling and downloading pdfs for the various items.

I mainly had a question about how to manually push my slide out back in if the electric switch was in operable?

Go to this link and find your make and model for the manuals for your coach.

Do you know what kind of slide you have? (My guess is its a Schwintek--Thor has been using them for quite some time now.)

If it is a Schwintek its made by Lippert Components and they have some videos on how to do that:

With the Schwintek system - the instructions are nice - and accurate - disconnect power to motors at the controller - and push...
But the reality is the wording 'this may be difficult to do'...

Recently having slide issues - it took 3-4 people to push the bedroom slide in... 7 of us couldn't budge the couch/dinette slide (including a younger ex-Marine that should count for at least 2 people... )

End result was working with Thor on the phone and bypassing the problem to be able to use power to draw it in...

If a full wall slide - I can't imagine what it would take.

The Lippert system (not on Thor rigs as far as I know) seems to provide a manual crank that can be used... Seems a bit nicer.

Schwintek is a Lippert system (one of many they sell).

I saw the relation... May be made by same company, but from what I can tell - those under the Schwintek name (used on Thor) do NOT appear to have the manual crank...
Those actually under the Lippert name have the crank.
At least from what I have been able to tell...
Anyone have the crank option on their Thor rig??

When I had my issues - I started my searches with Lippert - and soon realized I had to search Schwintek to find what I really needed.

We have a 2011 Freedom Elite 31R.
This has one motor for the slide. It’s a lippert above floor slide.
The “baggage” compartment under the slide out in front of the power cord compartment has a black cover on the top underside of the compartment. Remove that cover and you can see the motor and rack and pinion gear system. On the end of the gearbox is a 5/8” hex nut. Using a box end ratchet you can move slide in and out. DO NOT USE FORCE ON THIS. if you do and brake the gearbox it will cost you $350 for a new one. Please don’t ask how I know but I do know!
This is on our 2011 Freedom Elite 31R class C on a E450 Ford.
Good luck, hope this helps.

Correction......
The baggage compartment is behind not in front of the power cord compartment.
