Axis re call on defective heater /ac-control

Hi i am new to the forum , I am looking for information an parts and labor , can i do it myself if i had the parts? And will Ford ore Thor pay for it ? Thanks Kevin jay

I do not think either will pay for warranty work unless it is performed by an authorized dealer.

had my heater motor and some wiring replaced last Feb. under warranty.3 months old with 650 miles.have to go through dealer to get parts so let them fix it.16 axis 25-2

If you are under the original Thor one year warranty - some have had success having Thor send the parts to them to do themselves... They won't pay for your time - but saves the time scheduling/taking to dealer and waiting on them.
(For a recall item - I would expect the dealer has to do it to certify the repair)

I would expect issues under the Ford warranty would likely need to be handled by an authorized service facility for them.

If you are under an extended service contract (after market provider) - they typically will NOT cover sending you the parts.. They require a dealer to write it up and verify - and do the work.

For chassis/powertrain - Ford... they provide the stripped chassis. So engine, tranmission, drivetrain, service engine light, ABS - all covered by Ford.

For the coach - or anything to do with the customizations - it would be Thor. Including all the appliances, house electrical, plumbing, etc.

Ford covers very little on the A/C, they have had a letter out to dealers since 2000 on this. I believe most if not all the cab heater is Thor as it's part of the the A/C system not covered by Ford.
