They're under the bed, on the passenger side of the rig.
Just behind the carbon monoxide detector.

Two conflicting answers. I believe only one is correct for the 24.1 model.

On my 2015, they are under the passenger side bunk, right beside the water tank.

Different coach layouts result in different fresh water tank locations. I believe all 24.1s have their fresh water tank under the passenger side bed and the low point drain is a 1" PVC pipe with a ball valve inside that compartment.

On my 2021 there is also a T on the suction side of the pump with a three way valve for sucking in antifreeze for winterizing. It is easily missed in the mess under the bed.

Again, search is your friend: Several threads on spare tire mounting including instructions on how to mount it under your MH in the back in front of the hitch between the frame members.

Are you towing.? Curt makes a decent mount for the 2" receiver,

They don't supply bolts & nuts, but check other vendors for price.

Quick question about the low point drain on the Vegas 24.1: How long does it take to drain the fresh water tank using the drain?
I was dewinterizing over the weekend and it took about 5 hours to drain a full fresh water tank. Seemed really long to me.

Should take more like ten minutes. It is a big 1" line right off of the bottom of the tank. Maybe your drain line was plugged, the valve wasn't opened all of the way or the vent was plugged.

A little short cut on draining your fresh water tank is to turn you pump on with the drains open and it will cut the drain time down quite a bit.

I believe the 1" drain pipe is to drain the fresh water tank. The low point drain is a different drain to drain the fresh water system pre and post winterizing.

Picture and text taken from Ed Felker's exceptional manual. The text is step 5 from his Winterizing procedures:

Quote:
Open the Low Point Drain Valves #1 (Fresh Water Tank), #2 (Cold Water Supply Line, and #3 (Hot Water Supply Line) under the passenger bed as shown in Figure 6. Close the Feed Valve #4, so the water pump doesn't draw water from the tank. These valves are right next to each other right where the waterlines leave the tank. You can tell the feed valve because it’s hooked to the pipe going to the water pump. The freshwater tank drain valve is the one with the right-angle fitting that goes through the floor.

I am using the valve labelled 1 from the diagram. I have tried it with 2 and 3 open as well, but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference in drain speed. I know the air vent wasn't plugged because it sprayed me when I filled the tank. I also tried it with the fill cap off to allow air in.

I will check to see if the drain is plugged somehow the next time I am out there.

24.1's are notorious for slowly draining the fresh water tank through that valve. When I want to use that I open it and take the RV to the storage lot and let it drain overnight.

If I need to drain the fresh water tank fast I open the two low-point drains right next to the tank drain (in the diagram above #2 and #3) and turn on the pump. Using the pump you can drain the tank much quicker than via gravity.

I've never really used my fresh water tank because we have always camped in an RV resort. That said I have had 3 instances where the check valve in the pump screwed up and allowed water from the city water line to backfill through the pump into the fresh water tank -- filling it until water flowed out the overflow and down the side of the RV.

In each case I got the check valve set right by running the pump for a few minutes. Then I'd drain the fresh water tank.

And yes -- it is definitely a slow drainer. In each case it took just about a full day to drain the tank. It was no big deal -- we weren't going anywhere. But if ou want it to drain faster, follow Jamiegeek's recommendation above and use the pump.

Just to toss another option to speed up draining the fresh is to use the outside shower (pump on) to assist. On my 25.4 Axis, the factory low point drain exited against top of the gas tank, Very slow. I've rerouted it to the outside wall (not thru).
