Mattress ?

Our new Thor Challanger has a terrible mattress.
What are my options for a good mattress

On a previous motorhome, we replaced the mattress with a 3 core foam mattress from MATTRESS WORLD .. you can order the exact size you need, and thickness and quality of foam.

We added a foam topper to ours. That for the most part seem to do the job, however we had to cut it down to size. The down side is that it raised the height of the bed making it harder to get into.

We have a sleep number at home...if we were to replace a mattress in an RV..we would spend the extra $$ for this item...thanks for jogging my memory !!

You are welcome, sleeping on the road is like sleeping at home. We got ours online from Camping world they were on sale and it seems like that they do all the time.

We had the same problem. I am a rather large guy (6'3" and 300 lbs). Called Denver mattress and talked with them. They gave us an upgraded replacement mattress for the cost of freight. It has been a super. The mattress is a RV Supreme Euro Top Foam Small King.

We went to a local manufacturer (Custom Comfort) because the Hurricane King was a special size for Thor, not as good as the sleep number at home but still a great mattress! $750

I'm sure glad the furniture industry hasn't followed the RV industry by selling a full-sized mattress as an "RV Queen"...or a queen size mattress as an "RV King". What a play on words. Mine feels like a onion sack full of wheat straw. We'll replace it before long term use.

Gotta say the folks at Denver mattress were more than helpful. They will make a custom to the right size and the one we got is VERY COMFORTABLE.

Compared to the mattress that Thor provided... This is probably a viable option.

We also have a Challenger and didn’t like the mattress. We bought a 4” memory foam topper and now it is as comfortable as our pricy mattress at home. We sleep great. We did need to trim it a bit to make it fit. An electric carving knife worked perfectly for that task.

This is a much more common situation that you'd think...

But it's certainly not a problem!
