Mickey lamp post

Just finished our Rat lamp post for our September trip to Ft. Wilderness. 3 led bulbs on a remote so head and ears can flash, fade or strobe together or independently in same or different colors.

LOL. That lamp is all my DW (Disney wife?) talked about ever since our first trip to FW earlier this summer. Total parts was less than $150 plus about a day of my life running down parts and pieces and assembling. She's already buying Halloween lights for our October trip. Stupid Rat.
We'll be there on 9/12 for a few days, the 3rd week of October, and 3rd week of December. Usually stay in the 400-500 loops with our mutts. [emoji41] [emoji41]

I have MULTIPLE friends that I go up with. Each is it's own family group. A few of the weekends we are staying at the Fort but going over to Universal Halloween Horror Nights. I purchased my RV just to go to the Fort and usually spend at least one weekend a month there.

My wife just bought all the supplies for the Mickey light...I am just waiting to see if she wants the post version or the desktop light..

She just spent 21 days the over the summer in the 500 loop and loved it.

The hardest part was figuring out how to attach the post to whatever base you use for the lamp post. Just have to wing it based on what you have.

Great job! You'll love the place. Be sure to reserve a golf cart if you don't already have one. Place is humongous!

This will be our 3rd camping trip to Fort Wilderness since we bought our MH in June. We might rent a cart for a day or two so we can cruise around and check out different campsites for future stays. As far as the parks go, we have been there well into the triple digits. (Annual pass holders for years, live about 2-1/2 hrs away) so other than a few "must do's" we'll probably just hang out and RELAX with our mutts... bringing plenty of beer and critters to cook on the grill.. can't wait!!

Yup, annual passes here too. I have more days in the Fort and definitely in the parks than most of the employees.

Where do you get the parts for these decorations?
(The Missus and I are starting to make some plans for WDW-FW, and want to make sure that we're properly equipped! )

Be sure to use the Westinghouse acrylic globes. You might have to order the 12" but you will be rewarded for your patience. I tried using a different ( cheaper) brand that was stocked at Home Depot and the plastic blew out while drilling the holes for the ears. Plastic was thick in some places and thin in others. Westinghouse globe seems more consistent in thickness.
