Miramar

Thinking of purchasing a 2016 Miramar 34.1, 5000 miles on it as our first starter motorhome. Looking for any reviews, advise, thoughts you wish to share. Thanks so much

We have a 2016 Miramar 34.2 and really enjoy it. We have owned it since it was new and have about 16 K on the mileage. Except for minor issues that were easily resolved, the motor home is very nice. We plan on taking it across the lower part of the country this winter as snowbirds. Good luck!

Remember also, it may have 5K on the mileage, but around 1K was already on it from delivery so in reality, this motor home has really no use on it at all.

If possible I would ask to talk to the previous owner. It would be nice to know why they got rid of it.

I have a 2016 34.4 Miramar we purchased new. I love it after doing a front end alignment, adding Safe-T-Plus and larger rear sway bar...it's a pleasure to drive.

I don't know if this is your first large class A, but keep in mind, a gas RV does not have the "wheel cut" of a diesel. So it won't maneuver around quite as easy.

I had a few minor issues in the first few months but people on this forum are great at helping resolve them.

Honestly, I love the Miramar so much I talked my nephew into buying one.

The miles would be my first concern but it may not be a problem. There's going to be a certain amount of miles on the coach when bought new from deliveries, etc. With only 5,000 miles it would make me wonder why they got rid of it so soon. I've got 6,000 on mine now and don't feel like we've even been anywhere yet. Will Thor share any previous warranty issues or repairs made, if any? Is it at a dealer or is it the owner selling it? How much more to go with new one which will have full warranty?

We own a 2018 Miramar 35.3 and really like it. We purchased new and took delivery on June 8th 2017 and have 7800 miles on it. This is our first motorhome and I think it drives great. We have not done any suspension mods to it. We did have several issues with it when we first got it but I am hoping we have all the bugs worked out now.

With any RV you need to also be interested in the condition of the interior. Some folks hardly ever go anywhere but spend a lot of time living in it. Not necessarily a bad thing but it can be hard on it to have hundreds of nights.

That is a very good point. This one looks brand new inside and out. I'm excited

We had a Fourwinds C class that was brand new and we traded it in after 4 months and 1,000 miles on her for a Miramar. The C was nice but the livable space just wasn’t what I thought we needed with kids. Now the kids are mostly gone and we’ve had this one for less than two years and have barely put miles on her. We mostly park ours for a short weekend getaway every week. So the miles on ours is very low. Long story short, can’t always gauge the miles as an indicator of dissatisfaction. Maybe it wasn’t a good fit for them and they needed bigger or smaller or maybe they didn’t get to use it as much as they’d initially hoped. Best of luck with yours.

2016 miramar

We purchased a 2016 a year ago with 2k miles and it had the extended warranty which I have used . The layout is great the handling is great as the previous owner upgraded the front and rear sway bars. We have had problems with the big slide and had to have both motors and wiring replaced . The big slide also really works on the sink drain connection to the holding tank and we had to replace the connection so keep an eye on it . The 2016 has the bigger v10 engine with more horse power then the 2017 and newer models this to me is a plus. We like ours hope you do also .

I've been having the same drain problem with my 2018 35.2.
the big slide also has come apart where the wall holds the motor.

I also had the same drain problem on my 2017. Two lines got ripped out.
