Moisture in my coach
Hello Everyone,
Is it normal for moisture to be inside the coach after being in storage? My coach has been closed up and sitting still for a couple of months. Today I started my coach and opened the slide on my windsport and found water puddle by the sink and in the rear on the floor. Common sense tells me water should not get into the coach but this is my first coach with a slide.

Water intrusion is fatal for an RV. Not an instant fatal, but fatal. It's imperative to determine where the water comes from and stop it. If you have leaking around seals, windows, doors, any other seams, that can result in delamination which will involve costly repairs. Leaks that get into the flooring will wick through the sub floor, probably OSB, and turn it into mush and another extensive and costly repair. If it's "merely" condensation puddling, then the lingering high humidity can lead to mold which besides damaging the interior, is a serious health issue.

Depending on the weather where your at, but it could be condensation. RV's tend to have that issue. If it's leaking behind the slide frame on the outside,
check the seals around the slide when it's open. Make sure there is one there and it's positioned correctly. That should keep any water intrusion out when closed up.
You will need to keep an eye on it.

I have had condensate after running heater when interior was cold, and I have had slide leaks, roof vent leaks, kitchen vent leaks, plumbing leaks. Water on floor is a leak based on my experience. Start looking and remember, water travels before it collects, so look for traces. Good luck.
Oh, yes, I agree that this can lead to fatal damage requiring big bucks if this goes on too long.

I don't know what model you have but we have a 29m. We too found water under the slide exactly like you said. Turned out the sink water lines had a slight drip. Take a look under your sink for moisture.

Mine seems pretty tight but I have experienced water intrusion during a serious rain storms where winds were blowing water nearly horizontal. Slide seals, vent-a-hood outlets, outside furnace venting area and roof vents can be pressured enough by blowing rain to allow water to temporarily get inside. After these heavy storms, go check everything and dry it up as soon as you can. IMO...no RV is exempt from water intrusion in every circumstance.

Condensate has really really hard time with puddles.
Adhesion negates such almost exclusively before absolute saturation.
If you have two puddles, you have two leaks.

Moisture
Get a few buckets of dry rod at Home Depot or Walmart and put inside your m h . If you still find moisture after a few weeks you have a leak somewhere , probably the sealant at roof joints or side panel joints.
It’s critical to keep all joints sealed, check a few times a year. Moisture issues get very expensive if you let them go.
