Mouse
Sitting here watching tv and a mouse comes running across the floor. Time to get under my new motor home and look for holes.
Going to get a couple of mouse traps tomorrow

I have a Magnitude SV34....
After crawling around under my coach.... the only place I can see where a mouse would get into is the bag they try to use to seal up the slide floor around the plumbing under the kitchen counter when the slide moved in and out.
I have the DW making some heavy fabric panels with velcro sewn into the outer edges to cover the 3 or 4 slide openings for the rollers, plumbing, etc.
When we have the slide out, I am going to put the panels over all of the openings under the slide to keep bugs and critters from trying to get into the coach.
We get the MH back from the dealer on Monday and I will post some pics once my wife finishes the panels and I get them installed.

I'd hate to get on your wrong side Bob. From hammers for ants; propane for wasps and now peanut butter for mice! Darth Vader would be proud.

I just looked under the slide and I see what you are talking about. In fact opened up one of the drawers and can see light. I purchased some small live traps and one in behind the drawer on the floor where the opening is at, and the other at the end of the slide behind the drivers seat where I saw it come out and go back in, baited them with a chocolate chip cookie lol.
We are in western Wyoming at an RV park tonight and will be dry camping in the mountains for the next week, so I will fix that like you said when we get home.
Looks like a mouse can only get in when the slide is out.

No peanut butter so I used a chocolate chip cookie, lol.
I almost grabbed the 1911 and shot it, the DW said no to that.

Even I think that a .45 ACP round from "Ole Slabsides" is a bit extreme...
But pretty dang cool anyway!

If a mouse was able to leap up to the bottom of my slide and crawl in through the flaps I think I would catch it and send it to Mouseville. He could join Mr. Jingles and be a star.

Not as far fetched as you might think..... I’ve seen mice climb walls.
With the slide over the rear tires, they can easily climb the tires and make it to the bottom of the slide without much difficulty.

Does that mean I have to go peanut butter free on trips to stay mouse free?

I was feeling generous since I thought it would be the mouse's last meal, because I was going to take it outside and exterminate the little rodent.
But the DW said NO, I had to set it free far,far away from the RV.

Second the tire route!
Holes in the fabric above the curb side tires are now blocked by a new 5/16 wire mesh glued to plastic 'cardboard' to make a new rodent proof ceiling in the wheel well, mesh side up to prevent tire and road debris snagging......

Irish Spring soap works really well as a mouse repellent. I buy a few bars, cut them in half and place them under cabinets and in other attractive mouse 'runs'. Something about the smell or taste of the soap keeps the little rodents away. If you can identify an opening where a mouse might enter your unit, tightly stuff some steel wool in the hole. Mice can slip through some really tiny openings, so when looking, think small. These are a couple of low tech, inexpensive solutions that we have used for years that still work great.
